Training Programs – FIRE
First Attack Fire Extinguisher Training
Timing (per course) – 2 hours for 20 people. Allow 1 hour for every 10 people, max 30 people per class.
Contents – site risk assessment, knowledge assessment, review fire triangle, fire extinguisher types, fire extinguisher selection & practical fire suppression using fire blankets, 1-4 different types of extinguishers (dependant on location & weather conditions) and if required fire hose reels
Fire Warden Training
Timing (per course) – 2 hours for 20 people. Allow 1 hour for every 10 people, max 30 people per class.
Contents – site risk assessment, knowledge assessment, roles & responsibilities for employees & fire wardens, review current emergency evacuation procedure & compare with emergency evacuation diagrams, review emergency equipment locations, review emergency equipment procedures (if fire indicator panels & automated suppression systems are present). RUN EMERGENCY EVACUATION DRILL
Accredited courses - will require all students to complete a 1-2 hour quiz after the training as well as an addition 2hr presentation prior to the practical component of the training.
KEY DIFFERENCE between accredited & non-accredited training
Non-accredited – practical only & issued certificate of attendance
Accredited – online & practical assessment evaluation required, registered through RTO, issued a certificate of attainment, certified trainers

Spill Kit Awareness
Timing (per course) – 2 hours for 20 people. Allow 1 hour for every 10 people, max 30 people per class.
Contents - site risk assessment, knowledge assessment, general spill kit awareness & selection, review spill kit colour coding & selection, correct disposal requirements, discuss importance of spill containment & clean up regarding environmental & fire implications, practical spill containment drill.

Essential First Aid Training
Timing (per course) – 4 hours for 20 people. Allow 2 hour for every 10 people, max 20 people per class. (run by qualified active or retired paramedics or emergency nurses)
Contents - site risk assessment, knowledge assessment, general first aid site assessment, open discussion on site specific emergency procedures & first aid risks, who are the first responders & what is there responsibility VS everyone's responsibility, general CPR refresher & practical assessment, AED operation & practical assessment, critical emergency response techniques for regional & remote workers (major bleed, crush injuries, head & spinal injuries, critical triage techniques when first aid equipment aren’t present, snake bites)

Training Structure
Half Day Training
Timing (per course) – min 4 hours for 20 people. Allow 1 hour for every 10 people, max 30 people per class.
Contents – can be comprised of any 2 of the 3 courses below (EXCL. First Aid Refresher)
Benefits – more cost effective, highlights cause & effect, action VS reaction & also illustrates the importance critical safety equipment awareness and key personnels responsibilities.
Full Day Training
Timing (per course) – min 6 hours to 8hrs incl. 1 hours break for lunch. Max 20 people per class.
Contents – emergency response drill that addresses either a spill, fire or first aid incident in the morning, followed an emergency evacuation drill in the afternoon. Consists of 3 of the 4 training courses. This is to allow additional time for the drills & if the first aid training is requested. (15% extra for Essential First Aid Option)
Benefits – MOST cost effective, offers a complete rounded out training program that integrates all the practical knowledge requirements, organisational emergency procedural requirements & puts key personnel in charge of running real time drills.
FREE WITH 3 YEAR MSA - 4x ½ Day training courses per year capped at 20 people per course.
OPTION 1: 1 ½ days each quarter or OPTION 2: 2x full days every 6 months.
